This is a very special 22” Bride, Ann Shirley, (renamed “Melanie) as it belonged to Dr. Ruth since she was 7 yrs. old. It was made by Effanbee in 1942. Three fingers were missing, deep cracks in her face and body, missing shoes, socks, costume, eyelashes and a leg that had been sawed off by her son. Alas, it appears she was a terminal case. AFTER
